We have a saying in our industry; you do not choose insurance, insurance choses you and having spent 45 years now mastering my skills and that is shared with my clients, spending as much time as it takes to understand their coverage and what insurance is designed to do, protecting what matters most. Pacific NW is my home, and aside from insurance, my passion is non-profit work and volunteering. Currently, I help run a horse rescue in Fall City WA. and it is truly some of the most meaningful work in my life. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have 2 wonderful sons; one of which works in tandem with me at FirstMark. A lifelong dog lover, I have 3: Jet, Kona, and Paloma. Any extra time is probably spent horseback riding or watching NHL, Go Toronto!

Nolan Welfringer

A Pacific Northwest native, Nolan has grown up with Insurance. His mother, Gail of the Welfringer team has been in the insurance industry her entire life, and thus Nolan has found it to be a natural fit. He loves coaching, not only in the insurance trade which can be a maze to navigate without a guide, but also in his free time. He has been a swim and track coach at nearby Edmonds-Woodway High School for 11 years now. Coaching is certainly one of his primary passions outside of work.

A graduate of local King’s High School as well as the University of Washington, Nolan found his way to FirstMark after spending some time as a math teacher. While he still enjoys math in his free time, he finds advising and coaching his clients with their insurance needs to be much more rewarding.
 
In his free time, Nolan trains for triathlons and spends a lot of time running around the Edmonds and Shoreline areas. You can find him open water training in the nearby lakes and kayak fishing in the sound. When he wants to get away, he heads for his family cabin on Harstine Island where he fishes, hikes, and barbecues as often as he can.
